The Global Environmental and Climate Conservation Initiative (Global ECC Initiative) is an independent global campaign organization aiming to be a leader in environmental and climate conservation. GECCI is dedicated to ensuring a healthy environment and ecosystem balance for sustainable development. The initiative operates in over 90 countries worldwide, with a campaign network of over 22,000 members, primarily youths aged 18-45, focusing on sustainable agriculture, biodiversity protection, and promoting socially responsible farming.
GECCI's activities span six regions: Africa, Europe, West Asia, Asia Pacific, Latin America & the Caribbean, and North America. The organization partners with more than 300 governmental and non-governmental organizations worldwide, including the United Nations Information Center Nigeria, the African Union Great Green Wall Initiative, and the International Human Rights Commission.
In Nigeria, GECCI has a presence in all 36 states and Abuja, with directors across geopolitical zones and state presidents.
GECCI has successfully implemented more than 200 impactful environmental and climate-related projects worldwide since its inception. These projects have spanned various areas, including reforestation, sustainable agriculture, biodiversity protection, and environmental education.
Conducted massive tree planting exercises in multiple countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, India, Gambia, Cameroon, and Ethiopia, contributing to global reforestation efforts and promoting environmental sustainability.
Engaged and mobilized over 22,000 young people globally, particularly in Africa, for climate action. This includes training, empowering, and involving youth in environmental projects and climate awareness campaigns.
Actively participated in major international climate events, including the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP27 in Egypt. GECCI also organized the Nigeria Youth Post COP26 Conference, fostering dialogue and action on climate issues among Nigerian youth.
Formed partnerships with over 300 governmental and non-governmental organizations worldwide, including collaborations with the United Nations Information Center Nigeria, the African Union Great Green Wall Initiative, and the International Human Rights Commission.
Conducted numerous community clean-up services, promoting environmental hygiene and community involvement in environmental protection across various regions.
Trained thousands of African youths on environmental and climate action, empowering them with knowledge and skills to contribute to environmental sustainability and climate resilience in their communities.

Executed the Nigeria Great Green Wall Project, planting over 10 million seedlings and collaborating with the United Nations Information Center in Nigeria to support reforestation and conservation efforts.
Organized policy advocacy workshops, including the ECOWAS workshop on climate-smart agriculture and the African Union Great Green Wall Advocacy Workshop, influencing policy decisions and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
